List the Look turns an outfit into a list you can actually shop — piece by piece, with the retailer, the price and a link that works.
List the Look started with a question that never had a good answer: where is that from? Every day, people see an outfit they love — on a friend, on a red carpet, on a feed — and the trail goes cold. A screenshot, a reverse image search, a comment that never gets replied to.
I built List the Look so that the answer lives somewhere. A stylist, a creator or anyone with a good eye can list a look once, piece by piece, and everyone who sees it can find the exact item or a close alternative in a couple of taps. No guesswork, no dead ends.
The second half of the idea matters just as much: the people doing that work should be paid for it. Styling recommendations drive an enormous amount of retail spend and almost none of it comes back to the person who made the recommendation. On List the Look, creators keep their own affiliate earnings on everything they list — that's the whole point of the paid plans.
It's a small, independent British product, built and run in the UK. We'd rather be genuinely useful to a few thousand stylists and shoppers than briefly interesting to everyone.
Two ways, and we'd rather be blunt about both. Product links across the app are affiliate links, so a purchase made through one can earn a small commission — it never changes the price you pay, and it never influences whether a piece gets listed. Paid features in The Edit are always labelled as such.
The rest comes from subscriptions. Creators on a paid plan connect their own affiliate account and keep the commission on everything they list from that point on. Free accounts are monetised with the platform's own affiliate account — that's set out in full in our stylist guide.
